I'm not sure about that though but I've seen that discussion multiple times out on the web. I have also seen other threads (in MSDN) saying that the VC2012 redistributable does not provide any indication via the registry that it is installed. But I did see the other registry entry in the Wow6432Node entry appear. Afterward, I checked the registry again and that registry entry still did not exist (after refreshing the registry editor).
